Context

The Port of Montreal is a key player in the Quebec and Canadian economy. That said, its day-to-day operations bring their share of hindrances, traffic and movements to certain markets and suburbs of Greater Montreal. Keen to make itself better known, and at the same time to share its positive impact on the daily lives of Montrealers, the organization wanted to reach out to Montrealers and make itself more present at major summer festivities.

Concept

A container that can be easily moved from one site to another, presenting the various activities associated with the Port of Montreal and its associated trades in a fun way for young and old alike.

Deliverables

Conceptualization of the activation, turnkey manufacturing of the experiential container including the play area, snack/bulk dispensers and museum interpretation portion. In 27 outings in the summer of 2023, the Port of Montreal's activation reached nearly 4,000 people, and some 2,500 apprentice crane operators took part in the game and associated contest.
